Our WEG Repair Process
- Incoming inspection. We record the nameplate data and the motor’s condition when it arrives.
- Testing. Ground testing, surge comparison and core loss testing identify winding and core problems.
- Teardown and failure analysis of bearings, shaft, rotor, stator and housings.
- Written quote for repair, plus pricing on a new WEG motor when replacement is worth considering.
- Repair. Rewinding, bearing replacement and shaft and housing machining as required.
- Balancing and final testing before the motor is returned.
Repair or Replace a WEG Motor
Because we stock new WEG motors, we are not limited to one answer. For larger or specialized motors, repair is usually the better value.
