Where Busch Pumps Work

Busch pumps run thermoformers, tray sealers and vacuum packaging machines in food plants, plus CNC hold-down tables, plastics processing, printing and conveying systems. When a packaging line loses vacuum, production stops. See our food and beverage motor repair page for how we support food plants.

08 / FAQ

Straight answers on Busch

Q1How do we know our Busch pump needs service?

Losing vacuum, oil mist at the exhaust, running hot, new noises or dark oil are the usual signs. Catching it early is cheaper than waiting for a seizure.

Q2Can you rebuild it, or do we need a new pump?

We inspect it and quote both when it is close. Many pumps are well worth rebuilding; if yours is not, call (630) 283-3569 and we will quote a replacement.

Q3What should we send with the pump?

The model and serial label, what the pump is pulling (air, moisture, food process vapors, solvents), the symptoms, and how fast you need it back.

Q4Should we keep a spare pump on the shelf?

If a vacuum pump going down stops production, yes. A common approach is to put the spare in service and have us rebuild the failed pump as the next spare.
