Gearbox & Gear Reducer Repair

A Plus Electric Motor Repair, Inc. repairs industrial gearboxes, gear reducers and gearmotors at our shop in St. Charles, Illinois. Because we repair motors too, we rebuild the complete drive, motor and gearbox together, instead of sending you to two different shops.

From small worm reducers to gearboxes that need the crane to move, every unit is torn down, measured, rebuilt and run tested before it goes back.

08 / FAQ

Straight answers on gearboxes

Q1Can you repair the motor and gearbox together?

Yes. Most of our gearmotor repairs include both, so the whole drive comes back tested and ready to install.

Q2Is it worth rebuilding, or should we buy new?

It comes down to cost and lead time. A large gear unit can take weeks to get new, and a rebuild is often faster. We quote both so you can decide.

Q3How big a gearbox can you handle?

Big ones. Our shop has overhead cranes for heavy gear units. Call with the nameplate or dimensions and we will confirm.

Q4Do you pick up?

Yes. Pickup and delivery are free within 50 miles of St. Charles. Farther out, call (630) 283-3569 to arrange pickup or freight.
