Packaging, food and fabrication
Packaging lines run on drives and servos: unwind and rewind stands, web handling, sealers and conveyors. When one axis goes down the whole line stops, so we repair the motor and can look at the drive too, instead of sending you to two shops.
Food processors here need washdown motors that survive sanitation, and fabricators lean on press, saw and compressor motors. Whatever it is, send the nameplate and we will tell you how fast we can turn it around.

Q2Our packaging line runs on servos and drives. Can you fix both?

Q3Can we drop the motor off ourselves?
Of course. From Carol Stream, dropping it at our St. Charles shop is often the fastest way in. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Call (630) 283-3569 ahead so we are ready.
Q4Which motors should we keep spares for?
The ones that stop production and take weeks to replace. OEM-special motors built exclusively for one machine can take weeks to source. A standard Baldor or WEG motor can often be replaced within a couple of hours, so those are lower priority.
Q5Is a rewound motor as good as a new one?
Often better. We rewind with Grade H magnet wire, rated hotter than what most shops use, and seal the windings with Elantas varnish. Plenty of motors leave our shop in better shape than they left the factory.
