Electric Motor Repair in Chicago, IL
Chicago still has about 62,000 manufacturing jobs, more than anywhere else in Illinois, spread across industrial corridors like Kinzie, North Branch, Stockyards, Pilsen, Calumet and Northwest. Add the city’s food plants, cold storage, water systems and big-building HVAC, and there are a lot of motors to keep running.

Corridors, cold storage and big buildings
Food production and cold storage are a big part of the city’s industrial corridors. Those motors fight washdown, condensation and freezer temperatures, and they need repairs that respect the enclosure they came out of.
In commercial buildings, fan and pump motors run the HVAC and water systems, and they often have to leave through a loading dock on a schedule. Tell us the dock window and we will work to it.

Questions from Chicago
Q1Do you pick up motors in Chicago?
Yes, by arrangement. Call (630) 283-3569 and we will schedule a pickup or set up freight, whichever gets your motor here faster. Motor down after hours? Call (630) 283-8433.
Q2Our building has strict loading dock hours. Can you work with that?
Yes. Tell us the dock window, any check-in rules, and where the motor will be staged, and we will plan the pickup around it.
Q3Do you repair motors from food and cold storage plants?
Yes. We match the enclosure and IP rating on washdown motors, and we rewind with Grade H magnet wire and Elantas varnish, which hold up to heat and moisture. See food and beverage motor repair.
Q4What do we get by sending it to St. Charles?
Everything is done in our own shop: winding, testing, balancing and machining. We are an EASA member shop, and every repair carries a one-year warranty.
Q5Repair or replace: how do we decide?
Cost and lead time. If the OEM quotes four to five weeks, repair usually gets you running sooner, even when it costs more. If a stock motor fits, replacing may be faster. We price both.
Brands we repair & sell
Every major manufacturer, repaired. New and surplus motors from these brands, sold. See the full brand list.
