Our Fasco repair process

Step 01

Incoming inspection

Testing

Ground testing, surge comparison and core loss testing identify winding and core problems.

Step 03

Teardown and failure analysis

We inspect bearings, shaft, rotor, stator and housings to find the cause of failure, not just the symptom.

Step 04

Written quote

You receive a repair quote, and a replacement quote when a new Fasco motor or equivalent makes more sense.

Step 05

Repair

Rewinding, bearing replacement, shaft and housing machining, and brake work as required.

Step 06

Balancing and final testing

before the motor is returned.

06 / FAQ

Straight answers on Fasco

Q1Why replace a Fasco motor instead of rewinding it?

Most Fasco motors are small, and a new one usually costs less than a rewind. We supply the right replacement and save repair for obsolete or specialized units.

Q2Can you find a replacement for an obsolete Fasco motor?

Usually. With the label information we can find a current equivalent or adapt one to fit your equipment.

Q3What do you need from us?

A photo of the motor label and the make and model of the equipment it came out of.
